Sign Standoff is a decorative fastener used to mount a sign panel to a wall or other surface. Typically, 4 sign standoffs are needed to securely mount a sign board or printed panel to the wall. This "through" type standoff requires that the sign panel have holes drilled in to it prior to mounting. The standoff barrel sections are first mounted to the wall with their included fasteners. The pre-drilled sign panel is then mounted to the barrel sections. Once in place, the standoff caps are threaded into each standoff barrel and hand tightened.
Through standoffs can be made of different materials like Stainless steel, Aluminum and Brass with various finish say brushed satin, polished mirror, anodized colors, and be chromed by electric-plating. They are increasingly becoming more popular for use in museums, airports, professional offices, lobbies, hospitals, banks and more.
